TRAINING PROGRAMS
In order to achieve the desired outcome of the training, I suggest 3 different training programs, each of which has a duration of 1 month and is ideally for groups of 5-10 people. The first program gives the tools to massively improve work postures and the other two programs help to refine, extend and consolidate all the practical knowledge acquired in previous programs.
• INITIAL QUESTIONNAIRE: we evaluate the participant’s situation
• GROUP SESSIONS: training for groups of 5-10 people
• ONE TO ONE SESSIONS: individual sessions with each participant
• ONLINE FOLLOW UP SESSIONS: to reinforce and guide the training
• FINAL QUESTIONNAIRE: to evaluate the results of the training
• ACCESS TO THE NEXT BLOCKS: to refine, expand and consolidate practical knowledge
* Each program will include all the theorical information of the procedures involved so the participants can practise on their own.
** In order to optimise the training sessions participants should commit to work daily on the suggested exercises.
I. INITIAL
- Problem analysis and presentation of solutions: group workshop (2.5 hours). During this initial session we will start analysing what are the prolonged forced postures in the workplace that can lead to musculoskeletal disorders. Then, we will offer the theoretical foundation and practical procedures in order to improve those disorders.
- Anatomy foundations for correct working posture: posture biomechanics
- Standing and seated neutral posture: primary coordination between the neck and trunk
- Active resting semi-supine position: uses and guidelines to practise at home daily
- Weekly one to one session for each participant. Individualised care. Progressive unlearning of the usual neuro-muscular posture pattern with the tools: direction, inhibition and action (40 minutes)
- One-to-one online follow-up twice a month (45 minutes)
- Group discussion of all we have learnt during the month: group workshop (2.5 hours). During this final session we will analyse all practical solutions learnt at everyone’s workplace.
II. INTERMEDIATE
- Problem analysis and presentation of solutions: group workshop (2.5 hours).
During this initial session of the second program we will analyse as a group what difficulties have come up when putting the new principles into practice at the workplace. What are the procedures that can help us to maintain an improved and prolonged posture. - Correct posture anatomy foundation and working movements: biomechanics of shoulders and arms
- Neutral posture and using our hands: secondary coordination between shoulders, arms and hands
- Working procedures to do at home: mechanical advantage movements
- One to one weekly session for each participant. Individualised care. Progressive unlearning of the usual neuro-muscular posture pattern with the tools: direction, inhibition and action (40 minutes)
- Online follow up twice a month (45 minutes)
- Group discussion of all we have learnt during the month: group workshop (2.5 hours).
During this final session we will analyse all practical solutions learnt at everyone’s workplace/li>
III. ADVANCED
- Breathing: group workshop (2.5 hours)
During this initial session we will present a sequence of breathing coordination procedures from the active resting semi-supine position. - Anatomy foundations: breathing biomechanics and use of fingers
- Neutral posture and use of hands: primary, secondary, tertiary coordination and breathing
- Working procedures to do at home: diaphragmatic re-education, movement spirals and space awareness
- One to one weekly session for each participant. Individualised care. Progressive unlearning of the usual neuro-muscular posture pattern with the tools: direction, inhibition and action (40 minutes)
- Online follow up twice a month (45 minutes)
- Outdoor activity: group workshop (2.5 hours).
Putting into practice of all the principles we have learnt applied to a chosen leisure activity: walking, running, swimming, kayaking, cooking, gardening, singing, etc.
